I visited the Valley Art Theater for an extra credit consignment for my Politics Class. I've walked past here before, just discovered that it is the oldest and longest operating movie house in Az!

As an indie kid, I'grand in dearest with Valley Art. Information technology'due south my favorite theatre in AZ, and while it only has one screen, I feel a genuine love for the movie medium during each and every visit.

This place is modest, but you can find movies that aren't in other theaters and information technology isn't commonly crowded. It's nevertheless a Harkins though so you can get a student discount with ID. Easy to walk to equally well.

Dan Harkins' family lived in the flat upstairs when he was a child and his father was kickoff stating the Cinema biz. Dan has lovingly restored this theater and shows very limited run Gems!

If you like independent or foreign movies this is the place to get. Correct on Factory Ave so it should exist very close for most students. Usually merely plays one movie every bit there is only one theater.

Only having ane screen for showings, the Valley Art plays mainly independent movies that can only be exclusively seen at this venue. Theater is kept overnice, and has almost a 'fifty's style wait to it.

ASU'southward Moving-picture show Product program hosts it's annual Student Film Festival event here in April (25th-26th in 2011). The festival showcases the all-time student work that year and prizes awarded via crowd vote.
